• engine\machinery damages: as is implied by Dr Manilio Giorgetti's membership in the RINA Group of Engine Experts.
• ship repairs broadly speaking: the experience acquired in this area has resulted in the publication of the technical text Tempistica nella manutenzione della nave [Time and Ship Maintenance] by Dr Manilio Giorgetti
• collisions: area in which we avail ourselves of the experience gained surveying numerous incidents that attain to this type of event and which naturally falls within the individual professional know-how of the studio's staff
• groundings: for the numerous cases brought positively to conclusion - as recognised by our mandants - for what attains to refloating operations and for what attains to the evaluation and calculation of damages to hull and machinery [due to refloating operations] and or those caused by flooding Engine Rooms [de-watering and subsequent reactivation of restored machineries, installations and plants].
• damages by fire: also managed thanks to the fire expert and to the knowledge and understanding of the rules and regulations pertaining to repairs and reconstruction of plants. Of extreme utility in this respect, was the experience gained by Dr Manilio Giorgetti during his participation in the activities of the RINa Group Experts of Vessels in Service
• damages to Gas Carriers: the knowledge of the plants of this type vessel, as well as of the technical rules applicable to this type of vessels, allowed Dr Giorgetti to publish the text Transportation of liquefied gases by sea, thus obtaining important recognitions in this field of shipping
